This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of lending practices and credit management.
Main Duties:
- Credit evaluation: Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and cash-flow patterns to assess the financial health of applicants.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for loan approvals or rejections.
- Collaboration: Work closely with loan officers and other financial professionals to provide informed lending decisions.
- Portfolio monitoring: Track portfolio performance, manage delinquent accounts, and recommend corrective actions.
- Market research: Stay informed about economic trends and their potential impact on credit risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- A qualification in Credit Management is an added advantage.
- At least 5 years in a similar position, preferably in the financial sector or banking.
- Demonstrable understanding of lending and collections, including informal cash-flow economics and character assessments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate, timely insights.
